In a recent article for RCR Wireless, FDH Velocitel CEO Kevin Hostetler announced the company is preparing to implement a new mobile software application that will improve the way safety checklists are documented in the field. The smartphone software allows climbing crews to quickly assemble and document the pertinent data, such as required safety gear and training, for a remote site before a climb begins. In addition to technology innovations, FDH Velocitel has also played a leadership role in improving policies and standards for safety training and certifications. The company’s vice president of operations, Don Doty, serves on the National Wireless Safety Alliance and is a longtime member of the National Association of Tower Erectors. Read more.
