Aging transmission infrastructure underscores the need for innovative solutions to ensure compliance, enable efficient reconductoring, manage assets, evaluate/prevent failures, resolve documentation issues, and develop unique modifications. FDH works with electric utilities to provide conditional assessments of critical infrastructure and, when needed, develop modifications to re-use existing foundation assets. Our nondestructive testing methods and proprietary data analysis techniques provide customers with the information needed to evaluate the integrity of their structures and foundations and to determine cost-effective strategies for extending lifespans. In the wind energy industry, determining wind turbine foundation integrity for repowering, life extension, due diligence, QA/QC, forensic efforts, and/or repair is periodically required. FDH provides higher accuracy, timelier turnaround, and reduced costs as compared to the alternatives of engineering evaluations and foundation coring.
