Dr. Armita Mohammadian, PE, presents “Nondestructive Testing of Existing Tension on Wind Tower Anchor Bolts” in the Smart Bolting Solutions session at the AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference, San Diego, Feb. 26, 11:30AM-12:30PM. Dr. Mohammadian summarizes FDH research to develop a nondestructive method to determine residual tension on wind turbine anchor bolts by analyzing their vibration response to identify modal frequencies, which have a relationship to the post-tensioned force in anchor bolts.
