Structural Mapping of Concrete Crane Pedestals for ExxonMobil

Using its patented concrete mapping methodology, FDH provided structural details of existing concrete crane pedestals providing the product supply for processing plants. The GPR scanning results allowed the owner to remove and replace existing connection plates without disturbing critical structural steel encased in the concrete columns, eliminating the need for construction and new concrete columns. FDH was able to incorporate the field investigation logistics into planned plant shutdown periods, helping the owner save time and money with two critical turn-around projects.
