Emergency Spillway Design and Related Dam Improvements

FDH was hired to investigate and evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of various repair options for Buder Lake’s emergency spillway, a private dam at a campground in Missouri. FDH demolished the existing open channel concrete spillway, repaired the eroded subgrade, and constructed a new open channel concrete spillway in the same location as the existing spillway. FDH provided structural design and details for the new spillway, as well as engineering and coordination to deliver construction documents and review rebar shop drawings and concrete design reports.
